Shawn Corey Carter (Born 4-12-1970), better known by his stage name Jay Z is a highly successful and original hip hop artist and businessman. Jay Z has been reported to having a net worth of over $150 Million.

According to his mother, Gloria Carter, a young Jay Z would wake his siblings up in the middle of the night as he banged our drum patterns on the kitchen table. It is easy to see that Jay Z has been passionate about his music since he was a young boy; growing up in the notorious Brooklyn, New York.
