Rotten Egg.

I went food shopping 2 days ago and bought eggs and many other things. I wake up this morning and think to myself 'im going to make scrambled eggs on toast' yum. I do the dishes from the night before and tidy up the kitchen so it is all ready for me to mess up again. I then go to break an egg into a bowl and it explodes all up my arm. THE STENCH! The smell of a rotten egg fully lives up to its reputation. So basically the point of my story is that I dont think I will be eating eggs for a while.

spacers

So I want to have spacers in my ears that have a miniture version of those old toys you could get from seaworld and other places, its like a rectangular piece of perspex and inside it is two liquids that dont mix together and one is blue and the other is clear, the blue mimics the ocean and there is usually a dolphin or other fish in it and when you move it around it looks like the ocean swell.... thats what I want in my spacers like a mini ocean with a mini dolphin in it. I dont know the name of what these toys are called so if anyone does that would be a great help, or if anyone knows of this idea already being put into ear spacers also could you let me know.

Update

So I havent posted a blog in a while, I have been fairly busy and faiiirlllly lazy with the whole blogging situation.

Summer is finally kicking in which is great! Trying to get a bit of a tan happening without burning myself, because I hate getting burnt.

Went to Melbourne the other week, which was amazing. So good to just go on a holiday and not have to worry about anything. I did heaps of shopping and heaps of eating. Saw some old mates which was nice and was there for Dom's birthday! Melbourne is such a different city to perth, it has a completely different vibe. To me it was very busy but still relaxed. I found it quite surprising how everything was so jam packed, all of the houses probably in like a 50km radius of the city are all really cool old townhouses. The public transport (trams) was amazing! You can literally get on a tram and it will take you where you need to go. Such a good system! I was glad to be using the trams because I wouldnt have enjoyed driving, bit much with the hook turns and having to remember to stop behind trams so you dont run the people over as they get on and off the trams :)

M-Town

M-Town, also known as Melbourne.

I shall be venturing to M-Town tonight and I am very excited to do so! Catching the red eye flight which shall be interesting, not sure if I will sleep or not. Not such a good sleeper in public places or where there is any movement or noise so the plane is not somewhere where I tend to nap. But flying with Qantas, so inflight movies, bevies and food shall be coming my way!
So very excited to explore Melbourne and to see old friends; and to get away from this random perth weather.
I have saved up enough money so that I can blow it all on food, clothes, alcohol and other substances so I am basically set for the next 9 days. Also going to do my christmas shopping while in Melbs I figure its killing two birds with one stone. I know if I dont do my x-mas shopping in M-Town I will get back to Perth and struggle with our limited amount of shops and ranges of clothing (compared to M-town)

Lupe Fiasco

'I love the lord
But sometimes its like that I love me more,
I love the peace
And I love the war.
I love the seas
And I love the shore
No love for no beach
Baby, thats loyal.'

the best.

lets not waste a minute more

Life is so hectic for me at the moment, I feel as if I'm skimming over everything at high speed not taking in any particular moment; taking moments for granted. I guess it is because the year is wrapping up now and the people around me are gearing into preperations for 2010. Today I did have a moment of relaxation before work, I walked across to the park where I sit on my lunch breaks and rolled a smoke. A man had obviously decided to use a small space in Fremantle's cultured atmosphere to create a painting on canvas. His painting was full of sweeping blue's, whites; all mixed together in straight yet blurry lines. He had used thickener to create depth and movement in the painting. As I sat watching him paint I became more interested in watching the people walking past and seeing who actually stopped to have a look and to create their own perspective on this busy piece of artwork. I felt as though the people who actually stopped for one moment to look at the painting were alot different to those who simply didn't seem to have the time, or just didn't notice. Even though some people may have been on their way to their own respective appointments and meetings there was a definite split between the groups who would stop and watch the paint hit the canvas ; to those who would merely walk on by; oblivious. It was strange to see people missing out on such a nice little moment I felt like stopping them and getting them to focus their attention on the painting. Now thinking back on it I want to make a mental note to myself to always try and keep in touch with what is going on around me so that I don't miss small moments in my everyday life. I have been so busy that I have forgotten to just stop and take a deep breathe in and exhale all my stresses and to remember that there is bigger and better things in the world and it isn't always worth it for me to become consumed in this western society. After watching the man paint, and watching the people watching the man paint I realised that I had been sitting on the bench for too long and was consequently late to work; so up I got and off to work I went. Straight back into the fast flow of life.

compliments

We sit and we sigh
And nothing gets done
So right, so clued-up
We just get old

And all the while
Been torn asunder

Nicotine
And bacteria

What are we coming to
What are we gonna do

24-10-09

Got home at 3am, had a wonderful night out with friends. Up at 8 to get my dog washed clean by the mobile dog washer, I had planned in my head to go back to bed after that for a few more hours sleep but it hasnt turned out that way.

Today going into the city for dance rehersals for pride '09. I am completely shitting myself about it I have never done choreography before so its a whole new thing and the fact that im going to be performing infront of a fairly large croud of, to say the least, fairly artistic talentled people, is giving me butterflies just thinking about it.

Working tonight which means more dance but its free styling so its alot less stressful!!

Shop Layout Ideas

Brainstorming Ideas:

Fridge with door open for an accessories cabinet, inside would have down lights so that it was lit up and little posts to hang necklaces, earrings.

Fridge door would be open and on the open/inside part of the fridge door have shelving and boxes attatched to put scarves and larger accessories in.

Or could use fridge door as a sunglasses stand.

Soap holders on inside of fridge for holding accessories.

Driving Home

I was driving home from the city today and was bored so decided to take a few photos...just because I can.

Valerian Forte

'An unusual feature of valerian is that the essential oil of valerian root is a cat attractant similar to catnip. The active compound in valerian for this is actinidine. Cat attractants might mimic the odor of cat urine which is caused by 3-mercapto-3-methylbutan-1-ol (MMB). Anecdotes state that valerian is also attractive to rats, so much so that it had been used to bait traps. Some versions of the legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin have him using valerian, as well as his pipes, to attract the rats'.

So by me taking this means that not only will I get a good nights sleep i'm hopefully going to be attractive to cats and rats.

Top Deck

IGA

Just need to have a little whinge about the IGA closest to my house.
Im not sure about anyone else who is an IGA customer, but I for one, thought that the whole thing with IGA's is that they are open 7 days a week and have longer trading hours than the bigger food chains (Woolworths, Coles etc).
But no.
Apparently the IGA closest to my house isn't too keen on the whole extended trading so it closes at 5.30 most days. What is that all about?
The closest IGA that is open till 8pm, is 4 suburbs away from where I live which is rather annoying, especially when i'm just wanting to grab a quick bite for dinner and on route I have to pass Mc Donalds, KFC, Chicken Treat, Hungry Jacks, Curry in a Hurry...and many more, which then means that I make the hasty decision just to grab some fast food because its a whole lot easier and closer; rather than having a healthy home cooked meal. This situation is now contributing to the fatty mass that is developing around my hips and buttocks.

mixtape

Here are a few songs from my younger days that I still enjoy turning up on the old stereo.

  • Please - Pete Murray
  • Bartender (Feat Akon) - T-Pain
  • 1979 - Smashing Pumpkins
  • Love Stoned - Justin Timberlake
  • Logan to Government Centre - Brand New
  • Okay I Believe you, But my tommy gun doesn't - Brand New.
  • Tatou - Brand New
  • Signs - Snoop Dogg
  • Jailbreak - Thin Lizzy
  • How I go - Yellowcard
  • Wait - Ying Yang Twins
  • Til Kingdom Come - Coldplay
  • What goes around comes around - Justin Timberlake
  • Spitfire - The Prodigy

Small mentions...
Brand New are one of my favourite bands! They are quite hardcore emo and their lyrics are filled with depressive negative messages which isnt really my thing but this band is just fucking sexy. 'im sinking like a stone in the sea, im burning like a bridge for your body'. Yellowcard are a band that I kind of just stumbled across in my highschool years, they had already made themselves in the music industry and had been around for a while when I discovered them. I really enjoyed the music and thought it was sweet that the lead singer often did duo's with his girlfriend, their voices go so well together in the music. The prodigy was introduced to me by my dad and I have never looked back!

The Last Rainforest - 1992

beat that bird with a bat

So the question on everybodies mind.

To sleep, or not to sleep?

Currently listening to:
Drop it like its hot (Audiostalkers Bootleg rmx) - Snoop Dogg.

Still no signs that spring has fully opened its wings, winter is still casting a very dark shadow over our souls.

'I hate winter, if I could stab it I would; but I cant' - Phoebe Williamson

Im currently also observing a friend by the name of Joel and his new found obsession for a piece of wood he found on the street. He has managed to use it to assist him in ways I do not wish to disclose for public viewing over the internet.

Life is but a dream.....

Ain't no mothertrucking geisha

At the park we found a tunnel, gemma thought she could squeeze through the bars, but she realised it was too small. So we took it upon ourselves to get some spanners, a torch, a tennis ball, water, and lucas paw paw to investigate this tunnel leading into the darkness of time.
Long story short we are no match for 50 years of rusted together nuts and bolts.

We then decided to get in touch with nature, and took the bike off road into the beautiful australian bush. Hoping that it wasnt snake season, we trudged our way through till we found a nice tree. Or so we thought. The tree had chlamidia and because of that all of its bark was crumbling off which made it very messy for us to try and climb.

period of about 2 hours - not sure of events.

mohito.

went to another park with childrens swings, and found a lovely pair of baby pink crocs (perfect fit for gemma...SCORE!!!) and a book titled 'wimps'

In one word todays adventures can be described as - GEM-SAR

10-10-09

When is it finally going to be spring and stick to spring?
This morning I woke up to a bright and sunny day and dressed accordingly.
Went to work only to see that half way through my shift it was raining which then meant once I finished my shift I had to walk the 10 minute walk back to my car in the freezing cold. What is up with that honestly? Not fun in a skirt and singlet!

Puzzling

So I have been a bit curious about puzzles recently, and have been trying to think of ways that I could manipulate puzzle pieces so that they can become something different and not just a piece of a puzzle.

I like the idea of making a photo frame out of puzzle pieces and having the side pieces align with another photo frame so that the puzzles pieces can connect together if wanted.

Also puzzle earrings.

A t-shirt with a puzzle piece on it and the word 'puzzled??' on the shirt.

Puzzle is actually one of those words that if you write it or say it too much it starts to look strange.

puzzle puzzle puzzle.

The Long Road Ahead

I have created this blog because I woke up this morning to a brand new day and decided to pursue something.
After many daydreaming brainstorms I have decided that I am going to go to tafe and study a business and retail certificate and then eventually open up my own boutique.
I will have clothing, accessories, music, art and books in my store.

Im going to use this blog to post my thoughts and inspirations so that I can refer back to it to remind me of the great ideas I may have on the long road ahead.
Also this should help to keep me motivated because that is one thing I sometimes lack.

Oh the uncertainty.
